Hong Kong Chicks That
Get Laid
After visiting the “Bird Alley” during
my Hong Kong trip, I came upon a shop that had it's
garage door opened up. No one was around. I ran inside
to find cages of chickens stacked one on top the other.
All those birds were squawking at me. “Take
my picture”, said they. I was in Hong Kong,
they were chickens and they lay eggs – hence
the title. A catchy title will sometimes bring a smile
to someone who needs one.

MORNING HUNT AT ARGO
FARM
It was an early warm October day when I visited the
Rocky Fork Hunt Club. Enjoying their run over the
countryside, the horses and riders became one as they
hurdled fallen logs and ran through the creek beds.
The hounds’ ears flopped as they ran. Their
noses were to the ground or sniffing the air for the
scent of that elusive fox which always seemed to avoid
being caught.
On several occasions the sound of the horn and voices
of the masters calling to the hounds would be carried
over the gentle breeze as the morning went on.
What a glorious sight seeing them against the cobalt
blue morning.

MAGNOLIA BLOOMS
Early in the spring, the warm
sunlight skipped from petal to petal as the gentle
breeze bounced the magnolia blossoms. The elegance of
this flower, drew me in close to observe the beauty of
it's shapes and the lines of the branches. Isn't it
wonderful how such delicacy of a flower can pull you
in and give a moment of deep emotion. God never fails
to amaze me.

GARDEN III
The gentle breeze caught the sun’s
kiss of light reflecting off the still waters of the
pond and brought its colors to my eyes. In the back
ground the European flag iris partners with the whites
of the rocks in creating an opening for the sun to shine
through and reflect off the water. I experienced such
joy and harmony on my visit to Montreal Gardens that
spring day. How sweet that vision was before me that
I was compelled to paint it over and over again. It
enchanted me as Monet’s pond had enchanted him.
